- Multiply the three sides in inches and divide by 1,728 (12 × 12 × 12). A 24 × 18 × 18 in box is 7,776 cubic inches ÷ 1,728 = 4.5 cubic feet. You can also set the unit of each side to in and enter the sides as they are.
- How many cubic feet are in a cubic yard?
- 27, because a yard is 3 ft and 3 × 3 × 3 = 27. A 5 × 5 × 8 ft storage unit holds 200 cubic feet, which is 200 ÷ 27 = 7.41 cubic yards.
- How many cubic feet are in a cubic meter?
- A 1 × 1 × 1 m cube is 35.31 cubic feet and 1,000 liters. One cubic foot is 28.32 liters (28.316846592 exactly), because 1 ft is defined as 0.3048 m.
