About this estimate

The Army replaced the ACFT with the Army Fitness Test (AFT) as the test of record on June 1, 2025 (army.mil). This page is a simplified estimate, not an official score: it uses one straight-line scale per event for ages 17 to 21, cites no Army table, and gives 0 for any result short of the 60-point value. For an official score, use the AFT scoring tables published by the Army.

PASS means every event scores 60 or more; FAIL means an event is under 60.

About the ACFT Calculator

In this estimate, 60 points in each of the six events gives a total of 360 and a PASS, and 100 points in each gives the maximum of 600. The Army replaced the ACFT with the Army Fitness Test (AFT) on June 1, 2025, so this page is a simplified estimate of ACFT points from 17-21 thresholds, not an official score.

ACFT thresholds this estimate uses (ages 17-21)

EventMale: 60 pointsMale: 100 pointsFemale: 60 pointsFemale: 100 points
Deadlift140 lb340 lb120 lb210 lb
Standing Power Throw6.0 m12.5 m3.9 m8.4 m

Between the two values the points rise in a straight line and are rounded; short of the 60-point value an event scores 0.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose male or female, then enter each event: deadlift in lb, power throw in m, push-ups as whole reps, and the sprint-drag-carry, plank and 2-mile run as M:SS.
  2. Read the points for each event and the total out of 600.
  3. For an official score, use the scoring tables the Army publishes.

Frequently asked questions

Is the ACFT still used?
No. According to army.mil, the Army Fitness Test (AFT) replaced the ACFT as the Army’s test of record on June 1, 2025. New combat-specialty scoring standards begin January 1, 2026 for the active component and June 1, 2026 for the Reserve and National Guard. This page does not score the AFT.
How is each event scored in this calculator?
Linearly between two values: 60 points at the minimum and 100 at the maximum, rounded to a whole number. A male plank of 1:30 scores 60, 2:00 scores 69, 2:35 scores 80 and 3:40 scores 100. A male 2-mile run of 20:00 scores 69 and 21:00 scores 65.
How many points do I need to pass?
In this estimate a PASS means at least 60 in every event, which is a total of at least 360. The Army sets its own minimums, so check its tables for the real ones.
Why does 9 push-ups score 0?
The male 60-point value in this estimate is 10 push-ups, and an event below its 60-point value scores 0. With 9 push-ups and the other five events at 60 the total is 300 and the result is FAIL.
Does age matter in this calculator?
No. It uses one set of thresholds for ages 17 to 21 and has no age input, so a phrase like "acft male 22" does not change the result.
Why is my total lower than my ACFT scorecard?
This estimate has no points below an event’s 60-point value: anything short of it scores 0, and its 60-point and 100-point values are one straight-line scale per event with no Army table cited. A scorecard from the Army’s own tables can differ event by event, so read this total as a rough guide only.
